Braving a chilly 48 degree day, hundreds turned out for the Folly beach version of the Polar Beach Plunge on New Year’s Day. Although a bit smaller than the plunge at Dunleavey’s, there were a lot more funky people in crazy costumes. The event started at Snapper Jack’s and raised money and canned goods for the Lowcountry Food Bank. Judging by how quickly the official towels were given out, they probably gathered a bunch of food. Also, they raised over $400 in couple of hours with a jar by the door. Way to go Folly!
