From our hard working web intern Kyle Hilliard:

Gamestop of North Charleston held a midnight event for the release of the highly anticipated Wrath of the Lich King expansion for the wildly popular World of Warcraft online game.  World of Warcraft has over 10 million players across the globe who pay monthly subscription fees in order to play.  It seems as though most of these players made their way to Gamestop on Wednesday night to patiently wait for midnight so that they could take the game home to start playing as soon as possible.  It has been nearly two years since the last update to the game and the store was packed with excited gamers.  Gamestop often uses midnight releases for larger games in order to compete with other 24 hour retailers, but rarely does a game garner the same amount of excitement or attendance as World of Warcraft.  If you noticed the strange absence of a large number of co-workers on Thursday, know that there is a bug going around, and its called Word of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King.
