As I mentioned last Saturday, Pour It Now and Continuum skateshop put on a skateboard contest at the Visitors Center Bus Shed and packed the place. I’d say around 50 skaters showed up and were allowed to skate for an hour or so until the contest started. Not everyone entered but they all had fun.

Pour It Now is a local non-profit organization trying to get a concrete skatepark built in Charleston. They’ve had some promising talks with the City and held some great events around the area to spread the word and raise money.

Other sponsors helped in various ways, including donating money for the ramps and renting the Bus Shed. They included Red Bull, Cricket Wireless, b’zar, D’Allesandro’s Pizza, Point Break,  Parrot Surf Shop, and Continuum.

Here’s some photos from the event:

If you know the names of the three guys I didn’t get the names of, leave a comment here with the info!
