The South Carolina Acquarium’s Sea Turtle Rescue program released ‘Edisto’ on Saturday. The hundred or so onlookers cheered as he ambled his way towards the surf and then disappeared into the waters off Folly Beach. Here’s some shots I got of the event:

I hope my fifth and sixth grad science teacher Mrs. Margaret Harrison (from Porter-Gaud) was there to watch this — she was the most enthusiastic turtle proponent I ever knew.
