Plex boxing took a hard hit a few months ago when the Carolina Boxing Commission came down hard on the regulations. I left wondering if they’d be able to recover and bring lineups worth seeing. Thursday night showed the Jim Kelly had no plans of giving up and delivered a good fight card with some solid boxing. The highlight of the night was John Royal’s return and triumph over Chris Cooke. Cooke definitely held his ground though, and his speed was a good challenge for Royal’s measured fighting style. Below are some shots from that night:

Despite this particular shot, Rodney Wallace (l) won this fight by TKO moments later and Joseph Rabotte (r) refused to let it go. Rabotte spent a good five minutes whining about it. You can’t argue with the ring doc. Take your loss and move on.
